Zit popping with your hands
Zit popping should be your last alternative. It’s a fact. You know it’s dangerous, if not read about the risks of zit popping. Well, that beeing said, an ugly zit can be a reason not to enjoy life’s beautiful moments. Like a date, an interview, a party or some photo session. So, pop that ugly zit and become stress free! And choose an effective treatment for your acne.
Zit popping guide
- Wash your hands. Use an antibacterial soap and don’t forget to remove the bacterias underneath the nails. It’s preferable not to use bare hands when popping a pimple because of higher risk of infection.
- Clean the zit area with a mild antibacterial solution. Remove any makeup, dirt and oil. Once popped, the zit will create a breach in the skin barrier, allowing bacteria to penetrate. You don’t want this, so be careful to gently wipe the area before.
- Exfoliate around and over the zit. That way you’ll get rid of dead skin cells. Be gentle and use a cloth soaked in some acne treatment (preferably containing salicylic acid). Insist for a minute or two. The less dead cells over the pimple, the lower the risk of an irritation. You don’t want the area look like a postwar zone, don’t you?
- Time to put on your gloves. Use disposable gloves. You’re a highly trained pimple assassin, so you don’t want to leave fingerprints. Just kidding! If you don’t have gloves, use some clean tissue. This will prevent any bacterial transfer to the wound and also will prevent your nails to apply some extra pressure.
- Kill the zit. Find the bastard’s centre. Plant your fingertips pads around it. Don’t squeeze! Instead, try to pull the skin apart. You have exfoliated the area, so it should pull apart with ease. The pus will flow out. Gently, press the area around the pimple to allow the extra pus to leave your skin. Be very careful not to over press. Bleeding is bad, that means you have created a wound. The pus should be removed with a clean tissue (cosmetic pads, Kleenex).
- Clean the mess. Use some antibacterial solution to clean the area.
You’re done. Good job. If this is your first clean kill, go celebrate it. Enjoy zit-less life. And don’t forget to use that acne treatment. Zit popping should be a very rare situation.
